Muscat: Pact signed to operate Muttrah Fort and the Grand House
In a statement Ministry of Tourism said: The Ministry_of_Heritage_and_Tourism signed this morning at the General Court of the Ministry an agreement to operate and employ Muttrah Fort and the Grand House in the Wilayat of Muttrah with the Qalat Muttrah Company.
The agreement was signed by H E Ibrahim bin Saeed bin Khalaf al Kharousi, Undersecretary for Heritage in the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and Eng. Hilal bin Hamad Al Busaidi from Qalat Muttrah Company. This agreements comes in line with the ministry’s plan to revitalise the tourism sector and increase national income as it is within its remit to find suitable investors for the various architectural and cultural heritage for tourism investment and opening larger areas towards promoting and benefiting from it and contributing to the local added value.
