Ibri: The Sport of paragliding in a number of governorates in the Sultanate of Oman has been receiving great interest, passion and follow-up by fans of this sport over the past years.

Khalid bin Rashid Al Kalbani, Head of the Al Dhahirah Amateur Team of the Ibri Club said that paragliding is a recreational sport activity based on the use of a flying machine called a “glider” to fly in the open air for varying distances.

He added that Al Dhahirah Amateur Team is one of the teams concerned with developing youth skills in various hobbies, and includes a number of hobbies, including paragliding, wireless flying, wireless cars and photography.

Al-Kalbani pointed out that the team participated in various events at the level of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, achieving success and receiving great demand.

He pointed out that paragliding shows are liked by tourists and witness a great turnout from the public and by the Ibri Club’s Al Dhahirah amateur team team includes the youngest glider pilot in the Arab world, Rashid bin Khalid Al-Kalbani, who is 12 years old and is fluent in gliding and flying with great skill and skill by glider, and Aisha bint Khalid Al-Kalbani, who is Rashid’s sister, is 14 years old. She is the youngest female glider in the Arab world.
