Nizwa: Paving work on 207 kilometers of internal road projects is continuing in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah, which strengthens its infrastructure through a development plan approved by the Office of the Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, in order to achieve the basic objectives of urban development and the development of cities and neighborhoods in line with the five-year development plans.
Engineer Salem bin Humaid Al Shibli, Director General of the Municipality of Al Dakhiliyah, said: The projects for designing and implementing internal roads include connections, paving and asphalting works with a length of 206.7 kilometers during the year 2023, reaching 400.9 kilometers until the end of 2024, in addition to maintenance and repair work on damaged roads and repainting. Landlines to facilitate traffic and maintain the safety of its users, in addition to developing and improving commercial areas and state entrances.
He added that among these projects being implemented is a project to design and implement roads and parking lots for some municipal slaughterhouses in the wilayats of Nizwa, Samail and Adam, and design and implement road connections for (Salut Road and Health Complex Road) in the wilayat of Bahla, the Al-Shorouk neighborhood plan in the wilayat of Bidbid, and the Al-Rumaili industrial plan in Birkat Al-Muz in the wilayat.

Work is also underway to implement internal roads in the Wilayat of Bahla (the first package), in the Wilayat of Al-Hamra (the second package), in the Wilayat of Samail (the third package), and in the Wilayat of Bidbid (the package The first), in the state of Adam (the first package), and each of the states of Izki and Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar, in addition to developing the commercial area in Tanuf in the state of Nizwa and Al-Tawq in the state of Izki.
He pointed out that work is underway in consulting services to design internal roads in the wilayat of Manah and develop commercial areas in the wilayats of Bidbid, Bahla, Manah and Nizwa, in addition to repair and maintenance work on rain-damaged roads in the wilayats of Samail, Adam, Al Jabal Al Akhdar and Manah, in addition to widening the shoulders of the road leading to Adam Air Base in the wilayat of Manah. Adam, develop and improve the entrance to the state of Nizwa and re-plan the internal roads in the states of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
