Muscat: PDO signed MOC with Ministry of Labour to train and fill job vacancies in energy, minerals sector

In the statement PDO said : PDO today signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) with Labour_OMAN to prepare highly trained national cadres of job seekers to fill job vacancies in the energy & minerals sector. PDO will support the Ministry with expert knowledge to devise and manage training programmes. The two-year training programme will target training, reskilling, and upskilling job seekers and laid off employees. The MOC will support dozens of programmes, four of which have already been approved to start before the end of 2021.

“This collaboration builds on a number of initiatives that PDO and MOL have been successfully delivering together to realise sustainable jobs creation for Omani youth. It utilises PDO subject matter experts to develop training programmes that are required to equip young Omanis with the necessary skills to be competitive in the local and international labour markets, said Abdul-Amir bin Abdul-Hussan Al Ajmi , External Affairs and Value Creation Director.
