People of Yiti Heights receive compensation for their home

His Excellency Ali bin Salem Al Jabri, a member of the Shura Council for the Wilayat of Muscat, congratulated, via a tweet, the people of Yiti Heights regarding the handing over of properties to their beneficiaries.

On this subject, His Excellency Ali Al-Jabri said, in a special statement that these properties were handed over to families affected by the exceptional climatic conditions of the “Gonu” hurricane in 2007, and their number reached 190 housing units.

He explained that the ultimate goal of building new housing is to remove the damage from those affected by the runoff of the sweeping valleys in the low-lying areas in the villages of Yiti Hadra and Hillat Al Awamer, as the people at that time settled in temporary housing brought by the government pending the completion of the construction of new housing units in the heights of Yiti, and continued survival The people were in the caravans for 10 years until they were able to receive the house keys in 2015.

His Excellency confirmed that the title deeds of those units are currently being handed over by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning after a series of meetings that took place with the office of the Wali of Muscat. The ministry divided the beneficiaries into three categories: the property owners category, the tenants category, and the non-property owners category of caravans. Ownership deeds were handed over to the beneficiaries of the category of renters and some of the residents of the caravans in the past two days, in a direct and unconditional delivery, by virtue of the fact that they do not own homes, and their entitlement came based on their presence in this area during the period of Hurricane Gonu.

His Excellency explained, saying: According to the ministry’s follow-up with this file, the ownership deeds for the owners’ category are ready, and they only have to cut off the electricity supply to their old homes and inform the ministry of what indicates the power cut. Muscat.

His Excellency appealed to the rest of the citizens to complete the procedures, cut off the current, and hand over the land ownership to the old houses so that the Ministry can complete the procedures so that the beneficiary obtains two properties: the first is the ownership of the house in the alternative location in the Yiti Heights, and another property for his previous land in the affected area, appreciating that cooperation The relevant government agencies congratulate and bless the people for this well-deserved national generosity.
