Periodic maintenance of Oman’s Empty Quarter Road has began, with a length of 148 km

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is implementing the periodic maintenance project on the Empty Quarter Road, starting from the Ta’am roundabout in the Wilayat of Ibri to the Empty Quarter crossing, with a length of 148 km.

The project also includes works to repaint the road floor and replace the current warning and guidance regulations with new regulations and floor reflectors along the road.

Through the periodic road maintenance program in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, the Ministry aims to provide safe safety for road users and maintain their quality and durability.
