    • Poetry evening as part of Sohar Winter activities

    Sohar: The Nabatean poetic evening was held this evening in the Wilayat of Sohar in the Al Batinah North Governorate, as part of the “Sohar Winter” activities, with the participation of a number of poets from the state, in cooperation with the Sohar Cultural Council.

    The poets Ali Al-Muqbali, Saeed Al-Maamari, Abdullah Al-Shamsi, Hamad Al-Badi, and Khalifa Al-Shibli participated in the evening. Their poems varied between patriotic, ghazal and social poems, in addition to the artistic images they carried about the historical status of Sohar.

    The “Sohar Winter” activities will continue during the coming period to include a number of poetry evenings and historical seminars.
