Sohar: The Sohar Poets Council organized this evening a poetry evening as part of the “Sohar Winter” activities on the open stage in Souk Souk, with the participation of a number of state poets.

The poems of the evening, in which the poets participated: Muhammad al-Shizawi, Mahfouz al-Shibli and Khamis al-Farisi, varied between patriotic and ghazal poems, and poems of pride and lamentation.

In the same context, the Council will organize, during the coming period, a number of poetry evenings, both popular and eloquent, as part of the “Sohar Winter” activities, in addition to other literary and poetic participations by the Writers and Writers Committee in North Al Batinah and the Sohar Cultural Council.

The evening was held under the auspices of Khalid bin Ali Al Hamdi, Director of the Information Office in North Al Batinah Governorate, and in the presence of a number of members of the Municipal Council and participants in the “Sohar Winter” activities.
