Preliminary Qualifiers Committee for the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition Visits Sinaw Center

Sinaw: The preliminary qualifiers committee for the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition in its 30th session today visited the Participant Evaluation Center in the Wilayat of Sinaw in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, in order to evaluate the participants from the wilayats of Sinaw and Al Mudhaibi, and it will continue for two consecutive days.

On its first day, the committee listened to more than 60 participants, out of 155 participants who were registered in this year’s competition. The third level memorized eighteen consecutive parts with intonation, in addition to the fourth level dedicated to memorizing twelve consecutive parts with intonation, the fifth level memorized six consecutive parts with intonation, the sixth level memorized four consecutive parts with intonation, and the seventh level memorized two consecutive parts with intonation.


It is worth noting that the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition – the highest competition in the Sultanate of Oman in memorizing the Holy Quran-  in its 30th session and is organized by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science at the Diwan of Royal Court in 25 centers distributed in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The competition is based on memorizing the Holy Qur’an, following its method and the guidance of its teachings, and raising a Quranic generation that carries the Book of God calling for good, to be an active element in reforming society and the nation, and finding glorious reciters of the Qur’an who are proficient in its performance – according to what scholars have termed it – in addition to strengthening the presence of the Sultanate Oman in international Quranic competitions, and striving to achieve advanced levels.
