NCSI Reviews Methodology Ahead of New Public Opinion Survey on Government Services

Muscat:  The National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) today held a preparatory meeting with representatives of government entities included in the Public Opinion Survey on the Evaluation of Government Services, in preparation for the launch of a new survey cycle.

The meeting was attended by around 80 participants representing 54 government entities, in addition to a number of specialists from the Center.

The meeting builds on the outcomes of previous survey cycles and the observations and challenges identified during their implementation. It aimed to clarify various aspects related to the survey, review its mechanisms and methodology, and discuss organizational frameworks and designated points of contact with participating entities. This is intended to enhance preparedness for addressing challenges encountered in earlier cycles and to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of implementation.

The Public Opinion Survey on Government Services Evaluation is one of the key statistical tools periodically implemented by the Center to measure beneficiary satisfaction with government services and to assess their actual experiences when dealing with various government entities. This includes interactions conducted through direct, in-person visits as well as electronic channels and digital platforms, while taking into account the diversity of societal segments and their varying needs.

The survey covers several core pillars, including ease of access to services, quality of procedures, clarity of information, speed of transaction completion, overall service efficiency, and the effectiveness of communication channels. It also evaluates the level of digital transformation in service delivery, contributing to the provision of accurate and reliable data that support decision-making and assist in the continuous development of government services.
