President of Pakistan Receives SAF Chief of Staff

Islam Abad: President Dr. Arif Alvi of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan received at the Presidential palace in Islam Abad, Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and his accompanying delegation.

This came during the official visit paid by Al Raisi to Pakistan. The Pakistani president welcomed the SAF Chief of Staff and asked him to convey his greetings to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the Omani people.

During the meeting, areas of bilateral cooperation were reviewed, in addition to means of enhancing them. The meeting was attended by the delegation accompanying the SAF Chief of Staff and several officials from Pakistan.

Moreover, Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces met here today with Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar, Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force. During this meeting, the two sides discussed several military matters of mutual interest.

Further, Al Raisi met with Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi, Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan.

In this meeting, the two sides discussed areas of existing cooperation between the naval forces of the two countries and means of enhancing them.

Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces also met with retired Gen. Hamood Uz Zaman, Defence Secretary of Pakistan.

The two sides highlighted bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries and means of developing them to serve joint interests.

The meetings were attended by the delegation accompanying the SAF Chief of Staff and several officials from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
