Prominent Omani journalist Abdullah Al Shuaili passes away

Muscat: The distinguished journalist Abdullah Al Shuaili, a program presenter on Sultanate of Oman TV, died this morning following a traffic accident.

Al Shuaili held several leadership positions in the media field, he served as Director General of the General Directorate of Radio and Television in Dhofar Governorate.

Al Shuaili was also famous for presenting the “Economic Vision” program on Sultanate of Oman TV.

Al Shuaili is considered one of the pillars of the media in the Sultanate of Oman.

Broadcaster Youssef Al-Youssoufi said: “Another dear brother has passed away.” My relationship with him began when we were students at Sultan Qaboos University, and he is the friend with whom I began my journey in television news… a long companion, beautiful travel, and memories for more than three decades. May Allah have mercy on you, Abdullah. You left us with great pain and made our souls burst with sadness.”
