Rabi’ al-Awwal moon not sighted; Mera Oman issues statement

MERA Oman issues Statement on the Non-Sighting of the Crescent Moon for the Month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, 1446 AH

Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs announces that the crescent moon marking the beginning of the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, 1446 AH, was NOT sighted after sunset this evening, Tuesday, the 29th of Safar, 1446 AH (3rd September 2024).

Hence, tomorrow, Wednesday (4th September 2024), will mark the end of Safar, 1446 AH, and Thursday (5th September 2024) will mark the beginning of Rabi’ al-Awwal, 1446 AH.

We ask Allah Almighty to bless this month and all the months to follow, and may He grant us with success and prosperity.
