Muscat: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) celebrated the graduation of the third cohort of the National Programme for Developing Leaders and Future Foresight, an initiative pivotal in preparing national leaders for the rapidly changing global landscape.
The programme was designed in partnership with the Ministry of Finance (Offset) and the Eller Center at the University of Arizona.
The programme, which aligns with Oman Vision 2040, focuses on developing critical leadership skills among thirty-two middle management officials from various sectors of the state’s administrative apparatus.
This cohort’s graduation marks another step forward in the Academy’s commitment to fostering a future-ready leadership community within Oman, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the Eller Center for Executive Education at the University of Arizona. The comprehensive programme is designed to cultivate a broad spectrum of leadership capabilities, including systematic institutional thinking, innovation driving, strategic decision-making, and agility in leadership.
Dr. Fathiya Abdullah Al Rashdi, Acting Vice President for Programme Affairs, underscored the programme’s holistic approach, emphasizing the development of a growth mindset, resilience, and effective communication among participants. The multi-faceted learning modules, enriched by the partnership with Eller Center, aim to instill participants with the latest leadership strategies and insights, supported by mentors and supervisors from the private sector.
Highlighting the importance of this occasion, Dr. Luigi A. Pecoraro, Executive Director of Eller Executive Education at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates. He praised the Royal Academy of Management for its partnership and shared commitment to providing an innovative and impactful educational journey. Dr. Pecoraro noted that the graduates are now well-equipped to make a significant and enduring impact on Oman’s future growth and warmly welcomed them into the extended alumni network of both Eller Executive Education and the University of Arizona, wishing them continued success and a lasting impact.
The training journey of this cohort spanned six months, covering five modules designed to equip national leaders with essential skills for effective networking, cultural understanding within institutions, and influential communication strategies.
The Royal Academy of Management continues to play a crucial role in Oman’s developmental strategy, contributing to the creation of a dynamic leadership pool capable of navigating and leading in an ever-evolving global context.
Further enhancing its mission to localise knowledge and expertise, RAM has established a community of Omani trainers in partnership with the Eller Center. This initiative ensures the transference of cutting-edge leadership training to national competencies and certifies Omani trainers to lead future cohorts, promoting leadership excellence on both regional and global stages.
