Ramadan Quran Competition in Buraimi Governorate

Al Buraimi: The Holy Qur’an Ramadan competition was launched in Al Buraimi Governorate, organized by the Al Buraimi Governor’s Office and in cooperation with the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the governorate.

The number of participants in the evaluation stage reached 198 male and female participants, who were divided into four different levels according to their ages, namely: memorizing three consecutive parts, memorizing the first and second parts of Surat Al-Baqara, memorizing the parts of Amma and Blessings, and memorizing Surat Al-Naba’ until Surat Al-Mutaffifin.

Dr. Muhammad bin Saif Al Habsi, Director of the Endowments and Religious Affairs Department in Al Buraimi Governorate, said: This competition is the first of its kind in the governorate, and it comes within the activities adopted by the Al Buraimi Governor’s Office in coordination with the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Al Buraimi Governorate. This aims to motivate citizens of all ages to compete in memorizing the book of Allah Almighty – in the blessed month of Ramadan in which the Qur’an was revealed.

Participants in this competition will be evaluated by a specialized committee, within specific criteria.

While Salem bin Namchan Al-Kaabi, Director of Events Department at the Al-Buraimi Governor’s Office, confirmed that the competition aims to instill the values ​​of the Holy Qur’an, and encourage the people of the province to memorize, master and recite it, and also urges young people to use their time in the blessed month of Ramadan for the benefit of them and the community.
