RAO Hosts Practical Demonstration of Oman-Pakistan Joint Drill “Mountain Lynx 1”

Al Jabal Al Akhdar: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) and units from the army of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan today implemented the practical demonstration of the Omani-Pakistani joint drill “Mountain Lynx 1”.

The event was held under the auspices of Maj. Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of RAO.

The stages of the demo reflected the participating units’ ability to operate in full harmony and implement the drawn-up plans and training objectives.

Military exercises form part of Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) annual training plans and programmes. The practical demonstration was attended by several senior officers of SAF and the army of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

It was also attended by the military attaché of Pakistan’s embassy in Muscat and several RAO personnel.
