Real estate trading value in Oman exceeds OMR 1.4 billion by end June 2023

Muscat: The total value of real estate trading in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of June 2023 recorded 1,402,500,000 OMR and increase of 18.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2022, which amounted to 1,179,300,000 OMR, according to the data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Preliminary statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information indicated that the fees collected for all legal actions amounted to 33.4 million Omani riyals, an increase of 10.3 percent from the end of June 2022, while the traded value of sales contracts amounted to 545.7 million Omani riyals for 32 thousand and 907 contracts, with a decrease in value. It increased by 11.1 percent, with a decrease in the number of contracts by 8.5 percent.

The traded value of mortgage contracts increased by 52.6 percent, recording OMR 852.1 million for 12,062 contracts, while the number of swap contracts reached 732 contracts, with a value of OMR 4.8 million.

The number of properties issued by the end of June 2023 amounted to about 117,870 properties, an increase of 1.3 percent, while the number of properties issued to citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries reached 633 properties, an increase of 79.3 percent.
