Muscat: Ruznama Enterprise and Trading signed a collaboration agreement with the Real Madrid Foundation in Madrid, to open the first international football academy affiliated with Real Madrid Club in the Sultanate of Oman in the second quarter of this year.

The Real Madrid Foundation said in a statement : The football program is aimed at school children who already have some football experience. The goal is to drive youth potential in Oman both in terms of sporting development and instilling the associated values in the community. The students, from 8 to 15 years of age, will be led by a Spanish head coach selected by Ruznama Enterprises and Trading, who will head the Muscat in March, alongside a further 10 qualified local coaches. The specialists will run four weekly sessions of 45 minutes for those younger then 11, and for 90 minutes for the older children.

The session will benefit over 150 boys and girls, who will make use of the facilities at the Al-Seeb Stadium located in Muscat. The program will be presented in march and training will begin in May, following Ramadan. The goal is to have up to 1,000 students by the end of the 2022/23 season, added in the statement Real Madrid Foundation.
