Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) in collaboration with OTE has initiated a recall campaign for 12 Genesis G90 RS4 vehicles produced between 2021 and 2023.
In a statement CPA said: “The Consumer Protection Authority, in collaboration with Oman Trading Establishment (OTE), has initiated a recall campaign for 12 Genesis G90 RS4 vehicles produced between 2021 and 2023. To verify whether your vehicle is affected, consumers can access the recall website on the Consumer Protection Authority’s e-portal (recall.pacp.gov.om).
This recall has been prompted by a manufacturing defect in the seat belt pretensioner cover. The agency will be installing protection measures to prevent the separation of the front and rear seat belt pretensioner covers on both the right and left sides.
These recalls underscore the dedication of the CPA, working in conjunction with automotive agencies, to enhance traffic safety. It also falls within the framework of their ongoing commitment to conducting thorough evaluations of all products available in the markets of the Sultanate of Oman, with the primary objective of ensuring the utmost protection for consumers.”
