    • Registration of first Omani fishing vessel ‘Acila’

    Muscat:  The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Directorate General for Maritime Affairs registered the first Omani advanced fishing trawler, named “ACILA”.

    The vessel is owned by Oman Pelagic Company, an affiliate of Fisheries Development Oman (FDO).

    The trawler is designed according to the highest international standards. This reflects FDO’s commitment to sustainable fishing practices and economic growth in the fisheries sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
