Oman’s Ministry completes 94% of repair works on Wadi Haibi road

Sohar: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology continues to work on repairing areas affected by the tropical cyclone “Shaheen” and upgrading the road in two main locations on the Wadi Haibi road in North Al Batinah Governorate.

Eng. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Mujaini, Director General of Projects and Maintenance at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, explained that the remaining works for the Wadi Jibi Road include the construction of a bypass road in the town of (Al-Shabibat) with a length of about 5 kilometers, in addition to the construction of a bridge on the Wadi Ahan Road to avoid road interruption during the flow of valleys and the construction of a roundabout to facilitate the flow of traffic in the town of (Al-Ghadifah) with some additions to improve the road.

He said in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the percentage of completion of the repairs to Wadi Haibi Road has reached about 94 percent so far, and it is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
