Dhofar Pharmaceutical Industries worth RO 15mn opened
Salalah: A ceremony was held today to mark the opening of Dhofar Pharmaceutical Industries Factory at Raysut Industrial City, which is affiliated to the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn”.
The project will enhance medicine supply and drug security in the Sultanate of Oman. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in the presence of Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, and other government officials.
The project specializes in producing intravenous solutions and kidney dialysis solutions by applying German technologies in accordance with the best international quality standards.
The unit will supply Omani and international markets with effective and safe medicines – using the best materials in the industry and adhering to Omani health quality standards.
The factory, being set up on an area of 22,000 square metres, will meet the local market needs for pharmaceutical solutions. The project also aims to localize pharmaceutical industries in Oman and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
