RO 3.3 million road rehabilitation project to begin in Sohar

Sohar Municipality in the North Al Batinah Governorate awarded the implementation of the service road rehabilitation project in Falaj Al Qabail area in the Wilayat of Sohar, at a cost of RO 3.3 million.

The project includes the rehabilitation of two sites, the first is for the length of 3 kilometers and a width of 9 meters, while the second site includes about 1.7 kilometers and a width of 9 meters.

Sohar Municipality is currently working with the company executing the project on approve of the final designs, and the project’s works would commence during the last quarter of this year.

The project also comprises rehabilitation works at the roads parallel to the main street, Mashael Al-Nour Street, from the western and eastern sides in the Falaj Al-Qabil area. The implementation of these roads will serve the smooth movement of vehicles, raise traffic safety and reduce the current congestion in the area due to the increase in commercial and industrial activities.
