Oman’s Council of Ministers approves RO 50 million to support for jobseekers employment

Muscat: The Council of Ministers, chaired by His Majesty the Sultan, approves the allocation of an additional amount of RO 50 million to support programs and tracks for jobseekers employment in the private sector.

In a statement Oman News Agency said: “The Council of Ministers, chaired by His Majesty the Sultan, approved the allocation of an additional amount of RO 50 million to support programs and paths for employing job seekers in the private sector. In addition to amounts collected at a rate of 1.2% of the value of purchase invoices of oil, gas sector, govt units, Oman Investment Authority’s companies. Authorities concerned shall develop clear procedures, set requirements to ensure sustainability of the offered opportunities

The Council stresses that the employment file is one of the most important national priorities, and that the initiatives recently approved by the government will contribute to creating more job opportunities for citizens.
