Royal Academy of Management’s Inauguration Reflects His Majesty’s Keenness to Develop Omani Leaderships Capabilities: Minister of Diwan

Muscat: Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Management, expressed his sincere appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the Academy’s inauguration. He affirmed that this Royal gesture reflects His Majesty’s interest on taking up the approaches of knowledge and learning.

The Royal gesture also reflects His Majesty’s keenness to promote and develop Omani leadership capabilities so that they could play their role in serving the Omani economy, while at the same time augmenting in-country value (ICV) in line with global economic trends, Sayyid Khalid added.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ali bin Qasim Al Lawati, Chairman of the Royal Academy of Management, expressed a feeling of pride and responsibility in the association of the Academy with His Majesty the Sultan’s patronage. He reinstated the Academy’s pledge to deliver His Majesty’s ambition of positioning Oman among the global leading countries while maintaining the Omani originality.

In this context, he valued His Majesty’s wise directives that establish interest in human capital and placing the Sultanate of Oman among developed countries, without prejudice to Omani characteristics.

He added that the role of the Royal Academy of Management is by no means limited to leadership development but rather encapsulates an environment for the various leadership communities in the Sultanate of Oman through programmes, systematic dialogues and participatory spaces to shape ideas, initiatives and solutions.

Dr. Ali pointed out that the Royal Academy of Management will provide a stimulating working and learning environment that constitutes the pillars of creative ideas, exchanging knowledge, achieving interdependence and enhancing communication between leaders to add scholarly dimensions to practical experiences. – ONA
