Royal Air Force of Oman Marks SAF Day

Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) celebrate today the Sultan’s Armed Forces Day, which falls on the 11th of December every year, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence.

The ceremony, which was held at the Seeb Air Base, began with a military salute to His Excellency Dr. Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, the sponsor of the ceremony, and the music of the Royal Air Force of Oman played the Royal Anthem.

This was followed by a silent infantry military parade presented by the participants in the celebration, members of the Royal Air Force of Oman, and the music band of the Royal Air Force of Oman performed a musical performance included a number of diverse musical pieces.

The ceremony also included the recital of a poem to celebrate this occasion, in addition to a parachute display in the sky of the celebration presented by the skydiving team of the Royal Air Force of Oman, followed by the passage of a number of fighter planes in the sky of the celebration field.
