Scotland: The Royal Army of Oman Music Band is carrying out a training program as part of its participation in the World Music Competition, which is being held in Scotland, United Kingdom, and will continue until the 21st of this month.
The training program includes playing musical instruments and the compositions prescribed in the competition, along with the military infantry; This is in preparation for the various competitions in which it will participate, as the Royal Omani Army Band will participate in five competitions in which more than 180 bands will compete, distributed over five cities in Scotland.
Colonel Ahmed bin Salem Al Shukairi, Director of Music of the Royal Omani Army, said that this participation is an opportunity to show the high level of Omani military music, the extent of discipline and professionalism possessed by all the players, in addition to meeting with different international bands to gain more experience, expressing his gratitude. His hope is to obtain advanced positions in the various competitions in which he will participate.
Captain Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rashdi, leader of the competition team, explained that a dedicated training program had been set up that included the period before the start of the competition and during its course, adding that this participation is an opportunity to meet international musicians and acquire various international musical sciences and skills.
