Muscat: Maj. Gen. Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), today honoured the RAO Pace Stick Team at Al Murtafa’a Camp, in recognition of their distinguished performance in an international military competition.
The honour comes after the team secured second place overall, while the team leader achieved first place as Best Parade Commander during the military pace stick competition held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which saw the participation of 13 teams.
The Commander of the Royal Army of Oman praised the team’s commendable achievement, urging them to continue their dedication and maintain the highest levels of discipline and performance. He also lauded the efforts exerted by various Royal Army of Oman teams in regional and international forums, noting their role in reflecting the professionalism and competence of the Sultanate’s armed forces.
The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officers and officers of the Royal Army of Oman.
