Royal Guard of Oman celebrates Retirees Day

Muscat: The Royal Guard of Oman celebrated Retirees’ Day, which falls on the 7th of December every year, under the patronage of Major General (retired) Hamoud bin Humaid Al Badi and in the presence of Major General Salem bin Ali Al Hosani, Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman.

The ceremony, was held at the Royal Guard of Oman Technical College, included a speech by the Director of Social Services and Retirees’ Affairs of the Royal Guard of Oman, in which he expressed the importance of this day, which is considered one of the glorious days in the history of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, which was designated by the late Sultan Qaboos – may Allah rest his soul – to the retired members of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, in honor of them and in appreciation of the contribution they made during the course of their military service, and in celebration of their pioneering roles and in glorification of the great national roles that they faithfully performed, represented in preserving the gains and capabilities of this dear nation and preserving its achievements, and they are blessed with With the attention of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik the Great, the Supreme Commander.

The sponsor of the occasion and the audience watched a visual presentation that embodied the development and modernization witnessed by the Royal Guard of Oman at all levels.

The ceremony also included the presentation of a number of musical pieces, singing segments, and poetry poems on the occasion of this glorious day.

The celebration was attended by a number of senior officers, non-commissioned officers, individuals, and a number of retirees from the Royal Guard of Oman.
