    • Royal Guard of Oman Concludes 2026 Military Music Competition

    Muscat: The Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) today concluded the 2026 Military Musical Performances Competition among its bands.

    The event was held under the auspices of Maj. Gen Salim Ali Al Hosni, Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, at the RGO Command.

    The final day featured a visual presentation highlighting the stages of the competition, along with musical performances by several RGO bands.

    At the conclusion of the event, the Commander honoured the bands that secured top positions across various categories.

    The competition forms part of the Royal Guard of Oman’s training programmes aimed at enhancing personnel efficiency, developing musical and technical skills, and preparing participants for festivals and official performances.
