Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) Marks its Annual Day

Muscat: The Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) celebrated today its annual day, which falls on 1 November every year, under the patronage of Lt.Gen Hassan Mohsin Al Shraiqi, Inspector-General of Police and Customs.

The ceremony, which was held at the parade field of the RGO Command, included the graduation of new recruits. The ceremony also included diverse programmes that Illustrate the development and modernization enjoy by the RGO under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.

During the ceremony, the chief guest presented the top graduates with certificates of excellence.

He also pinned the RGO Special Medal on some RGO personnel in appreciation for their dedication in serving the homeland.

After that, the graduates chanted the RGO anthem accompanied with a parachute performance by the RGO free jumping team and proclaimed thrice Long Live His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.

The event was attended by some ministers, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and other military and security units, as well as senior military and civil officials.
