Ruler of Sharjah visits Royal Opera House Muscat

Muscat:Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, and his accompanying delegation visited the Royal Opera House Muscat today.

His Highness toured around the house and listened to a brief explanation of its departments and facilities, the nature of the offers it presents, its seasons, and its program throughout the year.

During his tour, he learned about the architectural richness that characterizes the architectural design of the house, which highlights the Omani architectural cultural heritage mixed with architectural culture from the different continents of the world.

His Highness also visited the House of Musical Arts, where he witnessed a musical performance that included sections from the Omani musical heritage and contemporary folk arts, such as “Al-Ayyala” and “Al-Midan.”

At the conclusion of his visit, His Highness recorded a speech in the VIP visitors’ register in which he expressed his happiness at visiting the Royal Opera House Muscat, praising the efforts it is making and the cultural and architectural heritage it contains.
