Salalah Club Crowned Champion of His Majesty Cup for Youth 2021

Salalah: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, presided over a ceremony for the announcement of winners of His Majesty the Sultan’s Cup for Youth 2021.

Salalah Club was crowned champion of HM The Sultan’s Cup for Youth, thus keeping the precious trophy in its repertory for the second year in a row.

Al Bashaer Club bagged silver and Seeb won bronze.

Basil Ahmed Al Rowas, Sports and Youth Undersecretary, said in a speech on the occasion that the annual competition celebrates the accomplishments of clubs and, symbolically, rewards their efforts in enabling youth to practise various sports and cultural activities.

The contest, Al Rowas added, is a true interpretation of His Majesty the Sultan’s attention to youth. He pointed out that the competition’s goals include the motivation of clubs to initiate action for upgrading the level of activities of interest to youth and, thereby, become more capable of maximizing their potential and meeting their aspirations.

The 2021 edition of the competition saw the participation of 31 clubs, which were: Al Shabab, Al Musanaa, Dhofar, Yanqul, Jaalan, A’Seeb, A’Suwaiq, Al Nahda, Al Bashaer, Saham, Oman Club, Masirah, Quarayat, Salalah, Al Salam, Al Rustaq, Al Nasr, Bahla, Muscat, Al Khabourah, Sohar, Nizwa, Majees, Ibri, Ahli Sidab, Al-Itifaq, Al Hamra, Al Wusta, Al Kamil W’al Wafi, Al Wahda and Baushir.
