Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), represented by the Directorate General of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in the Dhofar Governorate, is preparing to receive the Khareef season in Dhofar for this year, in coordination with the relevant government and private agencies in the governorate.
Sheikh Jamal bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Director General of the Directorate General of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in Dhofar Governorate, said in a statement to Oman News Agency that the directorate held an extensive meeting with a number of relevant government agencies and private sector institutions in the governorate to review the ministry’s efforts and coordinate matters related to the provision of commodities and food services, promotion of Commercial bank services, and raising the efficiency of fuel station services.
He also explained, through a detailed explanation, what has been accomplished in the Dhofar Khareef seasons for the past years, indicating that the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion seeks to ensure the continuation of the facilities provided by the relevant government and private agencies during the season period to facilitate the arrival of foodstuffs and basic commodities to centers and shops and monitor markets.
Sheikh Jamal bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Director General of the Directorate General of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion in Dhofar Governorate, indicated that the Directorate has coordinated with officials of commercial banks in the governorate to carry out the necessary maintenance on automated teller machines(ATM) and deposits in markets, malls and commercial centers during the fall season, and to ensure their operation and conduct periodic maintenance. It has to ensure the continued provision of cash liquidity without interruption.
