Muscat: Oman’s low-cost airline SalamAir has submitted a request to the concerned authorities in the Sultanate of Oman in order to obtain approval to operate domestic flights to Duqm Airport in the Al Wusta Governorate and to the Wilayat of Masirah in the South Sharqiyah Governorate, according to Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir,
He said that the volume of operations in SalamAir began to improve gradually, as the company managed in 2021 to transport more than one million passengers, with an occupancy rate of 71 percent, and to operate more than 9,200 flights.
