Al Mahrouqi Commends Heritage and Tourism Workforce at End of Tenure

Muscat: His Excellency Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi has concluded his tenure as Minister of Heritage and Tourism, following a Cabinet reshuffle issued by Royal Decree on Monday, after more than five years of service.

In a statement marking the end of his term, His Excellency expressed gratitude and appreciation to all those working in and affiliated with the heritage and tourism sectors, praising their efforts and dedication in serving the nation and achieving positive impact.

He said that every journey has its conclusion, and that the finest outcomes are those crowned with success and constructive impact, by the grace and guidance of Allah. He extended his thanks to all professionals in the sector, offering prayers for their continued success and perseverance in serving the public interest.

His Excellency also conveyed special appreciation to the Oman Botanic Garden project team, congratulating them on what has been achieved despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the technical and operational complexities of the project. He noted that the garden stands today as a tangible witness to achievement and a promising destination that reflects collective effort, commitment, and national capability.

He concluded by wishing continued success to all those contributing to the advancement of heritage preservation and tourism development in the Sultanate of Oman.
