Total localised projects in Samail Industrial City reaches 157 projects worth RO 155 mln

Samail: Samail Industrial City, affiliated with the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), achieved remarkable growth in performance indicators during the year 2023. It was able to localize 24 projects, bringing the total number of localized projects in the industrial city to 157 projects, with a total investment volume of 155 million Omani riyals.

Eng. Yasser bin Ibrahim Al-Ajmi, Director General of Samail Industrial City, said: “Madayn” continues to implement a group of vital projects in the industrial city, the most prominent of which is the water delivery project for the industrial city in cooperation with the Omani Company for Water and Sanitation Services. A group of investment opportunities are also available in The Industrial City, including equipping, operating and managing the building of the Medical Fitness Examination Center in the Industrial City, which aims to provide the highest levels of quality care and expertise to all employees who work within the city and provide them with the proper and necessary health care services.

He added that the center will provide its services to local residents living near the industrial city, noting that it includes many facilities, such as laboratories, clinics, cooling rooms, X-ray rooms, and a number of offices.

Eng. Yasser Al-Ajmi explained that among the investment opportunities available is also the development, operation and management of the residential city in the industrial city, due to the increasing annual growth in the volume of investment in the industrial city, which requires providing a dedicated space to establish an integrated residential city that serves the workforce in the industrial city’s factories. The industrial city has sought To provide a plot of land with an area of ​​100,000 square meters to be presented as an investment opportunity.

He pointed out that the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) divided the industrial city into several sectors, including the food sector, whose occupancy rate exceeds 17 percent, the logistics sector, with an occupancy rate exceeding 34 percent, the building materials sector, with an occupancy rate exceeding 26 percent, and the iron and wood sector, which has an occupancy rate of more than 34 percent. Occupancy exceeds 60 percent, the plastics and paper sector has an occupancy rate exceeding 85 percent, the marble sector has an occupancy rate exceeding 78 percent, in addition to the “entrepreneurs” sector for owners of small and medium enterprises, in which the occupancy rate currently exceeds 34 percent.

He said that there are a number of investment opportunities for which initial feasibility studies are available in Samail Industrial City, represented in various sectors related to foodstuffs, building materials, appliances and electrical conductors.
