Science of a Refinery Program begins in Duqm

Duqm,: The fifth edition of the Science of a RefineryProgram which is being implemented by the Duqm Refinery in cooperation with the Ministry of Education represented by the Directorate General of Education in Al Wusta Governorate, and it will continue until the 19th of March.

The program aims to enhance children’s interests in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, in an entertaining and inspiring way, and to work as a complementary and enriching part of the current curriculum. The program will include the implementation of 36 interactive workshops in 12 schools in Al Wusta Governorate, benefiting more than 900 students from grades one to six.

The implementation of the Refinery Science Program is an embodiment of the community partnership adopted by Duqm Refinery with the community as part of the Social Investment Programme. School students are introduced to the fields of chemical and physical engineering and robotics, through interactive classroom experiments. – ONA
