Second dental conference held in Rustaq

Al-Rustaq: The second dental conference was held today in the Rustaq state in the South Al Batinah Governorate, entitled “Developing a sterilization and infection control protocol in dental clinics in primary health care institutions,” which was organized by the General Directorate of Health Services in the South Al Batinah Governorate.

Dr. Ihab Muhammad Al-Salibi, responsible for oral and dental health services in the South Al Batinah Governorate, explained that organizing the conference aims to train medical personnel concerned with sterilization services by qualified trainers specialized in sterilization and infection control services, and to provide theoretical and practical training for dental assistants and dressing staff working in dental clinics in the governorate. Which included the basics of sterilization and infection control in dental clinics in primary health care institutions, in addition to improving the oral and dental health services provided to beneficiaries in the governorate by enhancing infection prevention practices and thus providing safer health care.

The conference activities included presenting a number of working papers related to dentistry and how to combat infection in dental clinics.
