Helsinki: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Finland today held the second round of political consultations in Helsinki.
The Omani side was headed by Munthir Mahfoud Al Manthri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry, while the Finnish side was led by Sofie From-Emmesberger, Director General of the Department for Africa and the Middle East, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two sides discussed means of developing bilateral relations and exchanged views about a number of regional and international issues. Later, Al Manthri held a meeting with Nina Vaskunlahti, Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations.
The meeting touched on various aspects of bilateral relations. Al Manthri also conferred with Katja Ahlfors, Director of the Centre for Peace Mediation at Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. -ONA
