Muscat (ONA): The Ministry of Economy today organized a seminar on drafting “Development Budget 2023” and its e-system.
The seminar included a demonstration on the main guidelines that government units, ministries, authorities and public establishments must follow when submitting their development budgets for 2023.
The seminar’s opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Nasser Rashid Al Ma’awali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy.
The seminar was held within the context of Royal Decree No. (36/2022) on the System of the Governorates. The Royal decree gives governorates financial and administrative autonomy in a bid to enhance decentralization and boost the attractiveness and competitiveness of those governorates. It also aims to activate the role of governors’ offices, which includes drafting development budgets of the respective governorates.
