Seminar on “Intellectual Security” in North Al Batinah

Saham: The Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in North Al Batinah Governorate today organized a symposium on “Intellectual Security”, as part of the “Raqeza” project to enhance national identity and balanced thinking.

The symposium, presented by Dr. Saif bin Salem Al Hadi, Assistant Professor at Sultan Qaboos University, addressed a number of main topics on intellectual trends and beliefs and their relationship to ideas and faith, defining the reassured believer, the methods and means that help the believer protect himself from external and internal intellectual threats, and the effects of these threats on society.

The symposium also addressed the roles assigned to the family and society in all its spectrums and institutions in protecting against the danger of intellectual threats, with extensive awareness in this regard, and citing real examples from society.

The symposium witnessed general discussions and answers to questions from participants and attendees, and achieved the symposium’s objectives, including enhancing the concepts of intellectual security and raising awareness among attendees about the importance of preserving national values, and exchanging knowledge and expertise in the field of intellectual security.

The symposium was held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Batashi, Wali of Saham, with the participation and attendance of a number of segments of society, including youth.
