    Sha’ban Crescent Moon Sighted; Tuesday First Day of Sha’ban 1447 AH

    Muscat: The Crescent of the month of Sha’ban 1447 AH has been spotted. Therefore, tomorrow, Tuesday, will be the first day of the month, corresponding to 20 January 2026.

    Oman’s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA)  Issues Statement on the Sighting of the Crescent Moon for the Month of Sha’ban 1447 AH

    MERA said: Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon His Messenger Muhammad, his family, companions, and all those who follow them in goodness until the Day of Judgment.

    The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs announces that the crescent moon marking the beginning of the month of Sha’ban 1447 AH was sighted after sunset this evening, Monday, the 29th of Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to the 19th of January 2026.

    Accordingly, Tuesday will be the first day of Sha’ban 1447 AH, corresponding to the 20th of January 2026. We ask Allah Almighty to make this blessed month and all the months of the year full of goodness, prosperity, and blessings.
