    • Sharqiyah Film Festival begins its activities

    Sur: The first event accompanying the Al Sharqiyah Film Festival, titled “Make Your Film” competition, was launched today. It is a competition for children’s comics targeting age groups under 12 years old, at the My City Center Sur.

    An art exhibition featuring the artists of the South and North Al Sharqiyah governorates in the Sultanate of Oman has also started, and a mobile phone photography workshop presented by photographer Saeed Al Khamisi.

    It is worth noting that the opening ceremony of the festival includes a number of paragraphs, including: a short film for the participating films, a screening of a film about the old Tire cinema, and honoring a number of Omani artists, Gulf and Arab stars, and personalities who worked in the first cinema in the state of Tire.
