Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al Khalili, First Minister of Education in Oman dies aged 85

Muscat: Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al Khalili, the first Minister of Education in the Sultanate, and the first ambassador of the Sultanate to the Arab Republic of Egypt dies aged 85.

The late Saud bin Ali Al Khalili is considered one of the most prominent Businessmen who have contributed to the blessed Renaissance since its inception in 1970, in addition to being one of the most prominent Omani businessmen at the present time.

The late Saud bin Ali Al Khalili was one of the close to the late, God Almighty, Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may his soul rest in peace – as he was appointed as the first minister of the Ministry of Education (Al-Maaref) at the beginning of the Renaissance in 1970, and he headed the Sultanate’s delegation to convey the congratulations of Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may God rest his soul – and the Omani people on the occasion of the independence of the State of Bahrain in 1971. He is also the first ambassador of the Sultanate to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
