Shrimp fishing season begins Sep 1 in Oman sea

Three month shrimp fishing season starts from these Sunday.

Muscat: The three-month shrimp fishing season in the Sultanate of Oman will begin in the coastal areas from Sunday, September 1 and will continue until the end of November, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources announced.

The Ministry thanks the fishermen for their commitment during the period of ban on catching and trading in shrimp, and stresses the importance of adhering to the specified fishing period and the permitted fishing method.
