    Muscat: Shrimps fishing season will kick off in Oman local waters from Friday, The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR) announced on thursday, three-month fishing season in the Sultanate of Oman will begins on September 1. 

    The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, represented by the General Directorates of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in the coastal governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, has completed preparations for the season in terms of administrative, extension and awareness. The work of the fish control teams on the coasts will also be intensified throughout the season.
