Shura Council to host transport minister on thursday

In its twelfth regular session, the Shura Council will host His Excellency Eng. Saeed bin Hamoud Al-Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, who will deliver his ministry’s statement before the Council in a public session on Thursday corresponding to April 6, 2023, based on Article (55) of the Council of Oman Law.

This was stated by His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Nadabi, Secretary General of the Shura Council, who indicated that the statement of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology includes three main axes, which are the policies, plans and programs of the Ministry in the field of transport and infrastructure during the tenth five-year plan and its activation in line with the axes of Oman Vision 2040 AD. This axis included the current situation for the implementation of national strategies that fall within the competence of the Ministry in the field of transport and the results achieved during the specified period of the tenth five-year plan, in addition to estimating the future needs in the transport sector and the increasing demands on this sector, and the emerging mechanisms that the Ministry follows in dealing with them, as well as The applied programs and mechanisms followed by the Ministry to create a framework in the field of existing infrastructure projects, and the performance indicators used to raise the efficiency of spending on them and accomplish them at the required level.
