Al Buraimi Unveils 159-Acre Agricultural Investment Opportunities
Al Buraimi: The Directorate General of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Buraimi Governorate announced the offering of six investment opportunities for agricultural and livestock projects through the “Tatweer” platform.
The projects cover a total area of 159.2 acres and come in cooperation with the Directorate General of Housing and Urban Planning, as part of efforts to support private sector participation and enhance food security.
The opportunities are distributed across the wilayats of Al Buraimi and Mahdah. In Al Buraimi, they include a date palm cultivation and production project in Al Uqdah Al Shamaliyah over 64.6 acres, as well as two projects in Al Qabil focusing on goat farming and fodder production across 26.6 and 38.9 acres.
In Mahdah, the opportunities include two projects for cultivating leafy vegetables in Al Madam and Al Zaroub, in addition to a livestock and fodder production project in Al Madam covering 12 acres.
Dr. Ahmed bin Saif Al Amri, Director General of the Directorate, said that the projects aim to promote integrated agricultural and livestock production using modern technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce water consumption.
He added that the selection of sites responds to local market needs and supports the governorate’s role in strengthening food security, noting that the “Tatweer” platform helps streamline investment procedures and create a competitive environment.
