Sixth Pediatric conferences concludes in Salalah

Salalah: The Sixth Pediatric Conference in Salalah, which was held from 3-5 August, at the Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah, concluded today. The conference was organized by the Pediatric Department and the Career Development and Guidance Department at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah.

It included a group of consultants and experts in the field of pediatrics, as 8 scientific papers were presented during the conference, while the number of participants reached 90 medical personnel working in the field of pediatrics.

During it, the latest findings of modern science in the treatment of various children’s diseases, such as children’s asthma, blood diseases, and diseases of the nervous system, were discussed, in addition to a discussion of what was new in the field of kidney transplantation in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Sixth Pediatrics Conference was accompanied by the establishment of two workshops to train general practitioners (newly experienced) on how to use ultrasound devices in diagnosing heart diseases, and how to calculate the percentage of questions required for newborn babies.
